Go Paper free - Get your Council Tax Bill online

Residents are being asked to go 'Paper Free' and register for the Council's online Council Tax billing service.  It means they would have their Council Tax Bill emailed to them, rather than receiving it through the post.

Wyre Forest District Council is promoting the service which will help the authority save time, paper, printing and postage costs and will also help the environment.

Anyone wanting to sign up can do so by completing a registration form on the Council's website.  In order to register residents need their Council Tax Account Number (which can be found on their bill) and a valid email address.

Councillor Nathan Desmond, Wyre Forest District Council's Cabinet Member for Resources said,

"Most of us are used to the idea of paperless billing now.   Many of the major service suppliers provide it and we feel that this is another way that the Council can offer improved customer service and value for money."

Anyone who signs up for the service will be sent a copy of their last bill to confirm that the service has been started.  They do not miss out on all the other information which is included in the Council Tax bills either.  The 'Your Services' leaflet, which explains how the Council works out the Council Tax charge and how the money is spent is available on the website.
