Christmas Surprises at Bewdley Museum
New
surprises are in store this Christmas at Bewdley Museum. Santa has
moved to the Old Brass Foundry to give children an even more
magical experience than last year.
The first event coincides with the Bewdley
Lights Festival on 27th November. The Museum is open
between 12 noon and 4.00 pm and entry is free. As well as Santa’s
grotto, kids can get hands-on with festive craft activities and
there will be an array of gifts to choose from at the craft fair. A
range of mouth watering seasonal refreshments will be on offer at
the Food Foundry café. Local schools will add to the traditional
feel of the event by singing carols.
Ruth Finney Museum Development Officer said
“kids will love exploring the foundry to find Santa. We were
overwhelmed with visitors last year when Santa came to the museum
for the first time. This year the event will take place every
Saturday afternoon in December up to the 18th to give
more people a chance to come along and enjoy themselves.”
Tracey Onslow, Wyre Forest District Council
Cabinet Member for Community and Partnership Services said “the
Christmas Lights Festival is a very popular event for Bewdley.
There will be loads going on in the in the town for everyone to
enjoy and the attractions at the museum are a great addition to
this event”
