Landlords' Forum
Landlords can find out new ways of ensuring
they receive rent, at the next meeting of the Landlords’
Forum.
It is being organised by Wyre Forest District
Council and will feature guest speakers from the Black Pear -
Worcestershire Credit Union. They will be explaining how they
can assist landlords and tenants regarding the payments of Local
Housing Allowance. Other speakers will be giving updates on
the latest changes to Housing Allowance, news on a Council
accreditation scheme for Landlords as well as help with
understanding the rules and regulations regarding evictions.
Councillor Tracey Onslow, Wyre Forest District
Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing and Environmental Services
said,
“The private rented sector plays a key role in
helping to meet housing need in the district, which is particularly
important in the current economic climate.
The idea of our forum is to help landlords to keep up to date with
new legislation and give them feedback on the work we’re
doing. We also want to hear from them to help us put together
our Landlord Accreditation Scheme. There will be a lot of
valuable information at the forum and I encourage those that can
make it to come along."
The meeting is being held at Earl Baldwin Suite, Duke House,
Clensmore Street, Kidderminster on Monday 12th April,
1.00pm – 5.00pm.
Any one who wishes to attend the forum
should email Rose Leonard, Wyre
Forest District Council’s Housing Services Officer or
