All aboard the swim bus
It is all aboard the swim bus for a free ride to the Wyre Forest
Glades pool. The service runs every Saturday and is for
adults and children who live in Oldington and Foley Park,
Broadwaters, Greenhill, Comberton or the Horsefair.
Pick ups start at 10.35am and passengers have a 2 hours session
at the leisure centre before the bus returns. The bus is for pool
users only.
Children under eight years old must be accompanied by an adult
both on the bus and in the pool.
Councillor Marcus Hart, Wyre Forest District Council's Cabinet
Member for Community and Partnership Services said.
"The 'Swim Bus' is a fantastic idea. Wyre Forest Glades working
in partnership with the Council has been able to offer people in
these areas a free ride to the pool. The Glades and the Council's
Sport Development Team are working to get more people, more active,
more often, and this scheme is part of that. The Swim Bus started
in June 2009 and we've already had around 200 people benefit. So be
quick to grab your seat on the bus before spaces run out"
