Just Smash It!
There is a chance to have a go at badminton for just £1 during
half term. The 'Just Smash It!' sessions at Wyre Forest
Glades have been organised by Wyre Forest District Council with the
help of the Leisure Centre.
Anyone over the ten years old can join in. Players are
being asked to take a racket along if they have one, but there is a
limited amount available to borrow.
The sessions are on Monday 15th, Tuesday
16th and Wednesday 17th February 2010 between
11:30am and 1.00pm. There is no need to book; you can just
turn up on the day and play. Help will be on hand for anyone
who is new to the game.
Councillor Marcus Hart, Wyre Forest District Council's Cabinet
Member for Community and Partnership Services said:
"The Council's Sports Development team is working to get more
people, more active, more often. This is an ideal chance for
someone to have a taster session of badminton and to find out if
it's the sport for them. The 'Just Smash It!' sessions are
open to all abilities and we would encourage anyone to have a go
and play badminton with their family and friends."
