improve health and wellbeing in the Wyre Forest
district?
The Health and Wellbeing Subgroup – part of Wyre Forest
Matters the Local Strategic Partnership - is announcing its final
year of funding for healthy lifestyles projects. Just over
£8,000 is available for projects or activities that will improve
health and wellbeing in the Wyre Forest district.
Last year, the following projects were successful in attracting
funding:
- High Energy healthy eating and exercise clubs for children
- Breastfeeding peer supporters programme
- Fun and Fitness after-school activities
You can use the
quick and simple bid form for amounts up to £100
(66K)
This could be for venue and advertising costs, crèche facilities
and printing to support health related pieces of work.
Applications can be made anytime between now until 31 March 2011
until the fund is exhausted.
Alternatively, you can complete a
form to bid for amounts from £500 to £6,500
(99K) for projects that will contribute to the
three priorities which the group has identified as important to
Wyre Forest:
- Reducing the number of pregnant women who smoke
- Increasing the numbers of women who breastfeed
- Reducing the number of people who are overweight or obese
The deadline for applications is 4.00pm on Friday 7th
May 2010
Applications for amounts over £500 will be assessed by a panel
consisting of Wyre Forest Matters Health and Wellbeing
Subgroup members.
Progress on the successful bids will be reported through the
Wyre Forest Matters quarterly reporting process.
