Picture perfect for Christmas Card
Christmas cards designed by two Bewdley Primary School children
are being sent around the district.
For the second year running a competition has been organised by
the Chairman of Wyre Forest District Council to design his
Christmas Card. This year Councillor Gordon Yarranton asked
the children at Bewdley Primary School to use their creative skills
and produce a picture for his official Christmas cards.
There were outstanding entries from a range of different age
groups. The winner was 7
year old Ellie Smith. The Leader of the
Council, Councillor John Campion was so impressed with the
children's designs he also used one of the designs for his
Christmas card. He picked 8 year old Phoebe Oliver's
design.
Councillor Gordon Yarranton said,
"It was extremely difficult to choose a winner and runner
up from the excellent designs that were received from Bewdley
Primary School, and I am thrilled with the winning design.
The winner and runner up will receive a book token. All the
other participants will receive a small gift for entering the
competition."
Councillor Yarranton attended the school's assembly on Friday
17th December to present the winners with their
prizes.
