Council introduces direct debit for car park season
tickets
From 1st October 2009 customers of Wyre Forest
District Council wishing to buy 12 month season tickets to park on
the Council’s car parks will be able to do so by Direct Debit.
The Council is introducing Direct Debits to
give customers more flexibility in paying for season tickets rather
than just having to pay in one lump sum.
Customers will be able to pay for a 12 month
season ticket in 10 monthly Direct Debit instalments.
Cllr Tracey Onslow, Wyre Forest District
Council Cabinet Member for Housing and Environmental Services
said:
“The Council is very aware that in the current
economic climate, customers need to be able to manage their
finances carefully. By introducing the option to spread the cost of
a season ticket over the year, the Council is responding to their
needs.”
“Paying by direct debit offers our
customers great value for money and makes a season ticket very
affordable. Customers paying by direct debit can park all day on
the Council’s car parks for as little as £50 a month for a full
season ticket, £25 for a restricted ticket and for our senior
citizens the tickets are excellent value at just £6.50 a
month.”
