Wyre Forest District Council shows Racism the Red Card
Wyre Forest District Council in partnership
with Worcestershire Football Association are running FREE football
sessions for children of all abilities in the October half term
holiday.
The sessions are part of the Kick it Out
campaign which has been adopted by the football, educational and
community sectors to challenge racism and work
for positive change.
The ‘One
Game, One Community weeks in
action’ are running from 15th to
27th October 2009 when qualified football coaches aim to
develop children’s skills and abilities. Competitive small sided
tournaments will also be played with great prizes to be won at the
end of each day.
Cllr Marcus Hart, Wyre Forest District
Council’s Cabinet Member for Community and Partnership Services
said,
“This is a really worthwhile campaign and a
fun way of learning about football and how to boost your skills. We
encourage all children under 16 to get involved in the “beautiful
game”.

are:
Monday 26th October 2009 and
Tuesday 27th October 2009

Just turn up and take part!
The Worcestershire FA endorses this project
and Matt Jones Football Development Officer encourages all children
to ‘fill their boots and get involved in the football fun!’.
