Families invited to help local conservation
Why not bring the family to join a conservation work party
followed by a picnic on Saturday 24th October.
Wyre Forest District Council is encouraging
people of all ages (minimum age is 8 years) and abilities to come
along and get stuck into conservation tasks such as cutting down
overgrown trees and bushes and helping to tidy the area.
.
Just turn up, ready for action at Blackstone
Picnic spot at 10.00am. The work party will get stuck in until
1.00pm when everyone will be invited to break open their picnics,
and share campfire food provided by the Rangers.
Cllr Marcus Hart, Wyre Forest District
Council’s Cabinet Member for Community & Partnership Services
said,
“Achieving something worthwhile as a group is
always more satisfying, so encouraging families to do conservation
work together is a great way of getting people involved and getting
the job done – it’s a win- win!”
