Are you a local sports hero?
This is the 15th year of the Wyre Forest District
Council Sports Awards. With thirteen awards, there are plenty
of opportunities to have your sporting achievements recognised.
Every January the Sports Awards ceremony is held to recognise
the successful sports people in the Wyre Forest. Awards range from
Junior Sportsman and Sportswoman, through to Club of the Year and
Volunteer of the Year, meaning it's just as much about the people
behind the scenes as the sports stars themselves.
Cllr Marcus Hart Wyre Forest District Council's Cabinet Member
for Community & Partnership Services said,
"If you know anyone who should be nominated for one of
these awards, get in touch now! This is a great opportunity for
individuals and groups to be recognised for their contributions to
sport in Wyre Forest and beyond. We welcome submissions from right
across the district and look forward to the event in January when
we can honour our sporting high achievers."
