Santa comes to Bewdley Museum
Santa is making his first appearance at Bewdley Museum on
Saturday 5th December. He's looking forward to welcoming
lots of visitors to his magical grotto which is being specially
constructed in the Museum's recently developed saw yard.
Dave Darby, Museum Technician said:
"It has been great fun building the grotto. The saw yard is the
perfect setting. We hope that it will have a really magical feel.
The kids should love it."
Santa's appearance between 12 noon and 4.00 pm coincides with
the Bewdley
Light Festival and there will be plenty of other attractions at
the Museum to keep the whole family occupied before the lights
switch on at 5.30pm.
Kids can get hands-on with festive craft activities in the Wyre
Forest Gallery, the craft studios are great for finding special
presents, and seasonal refreshments are served from the café. All
this set in the delightful museum Shambles and courtyard. Entry to
the museum is free.
Councillor Marcus Hart, Wyre Forest District Council's Cabinet
Member for Community and Partnership Services said:
"The Christmas Light festival is a very popular event for Bewdley.
There will be plenty going on the in the town for everyone to enjoy
and the new Santa's grotto at the Museum is a great addition to
this event"
