Bike Security Road Show Winners
Cyclists had the chance to learn more about how to keep their
bikes safe from thieves at a Bike Security Road Show held on
30th October in the Bull Ring Kidderminster.
The event, which was organised by Wyre Forest Community Safety
Partnership, was very successful, with people keen to take
advantage of the free bike marking, locks and security advice that
was on offer, to help combat an increase in local cycle theft.
Visitors to the Road Show also had the opportunity to enter a
free prize draw with prizes of vouchers to spend at Smith's Cycles
in Kidderminster. The first prize, a £75 voucher, was won by
Matthew Smith, 2nd prize £50 won by Harry Penlington,
3rd prize £30 won by Athea Edwards and £20 won by Greg
Ruff. All the lucky winners have been notified.
Helen Dyke, Chair of Wyre Forest Community Safety Partnership,
said:
"The Road Show was a great success and we hope that Wyre Forest
residents have taken on board that they need to make sure that
their bikes are left locked at all times and storage is
secure. Bikes are often given as Christmas presents and with
that in mind, we would like to repeat the Road Show some time in
the New Year. We would like to offer congratulations to all
the winners of the prize draw".
