Wyre Forest Interim Chief Executive Announced
Diane Tilley has been appointed as Wyre Forest District Council’s
interim Chief Executive and will take up her new post from 17th
August.
Diane is currently the Director of Planning, Economy and
Performance at Worcestershire County Council and will divide her
time between her existing and new role over the next six
months.
A qualified Chartered Surveyor, Diane has worked at Worcestershire
County Council since 2001 and previously held various senior roles
at the Ministry of Defence.
Diane Tilley said: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to work
with residents, staff and Councillors to build upon their current
achievements and high level of service provision whilst a permanent
replacement is sought. There is a strong relationship between the
County Council and Wyre Forest with both organisations facing
similar challenges along with serving the same public, as such I am
hoping that my knowledge and background will ensure continued
momentum in the work of the District Council, and a joined up
approach to both district and county initiatives, thereby
delivering the best and most cost effective outcomes for the
communities of Wyre Forest."

The leader of Wyre Forest
District Council, Cllr John Campion said: “Diane joins Wyre Forest
District Council as the authority is moving forward with major
projects and we needed someone who was already well placed to take
up the challenges. Diane’s experience and knowledge of local
government and the area makes her an ideal candidate to step into
the role of interim Chief Executive. We’re looking forward to
working with Diane while we look for a new Chief Executive.” |
Wyre Forest District Council is looking to appoint a permanent
Chief Executive replacement by the end of 2009.
