Graffiti

||
Graffiti is the illegal or unauthorised defacing of either public property or other people’s private property by painting or otherwise marking it with words, pictures or symbols. It is an illegal and anti-social activity that creates a negative impression of an area and contributes to people’s fear of crime. Those that are responsible for it can be prosecuted.

What will the Council do?

Wyre Forest District Council will remove graffiti from its own property and street furniture. It will also take action against anyone found defacing council property and street furniture. From April 2006 the Council can issue £50 fixed penalty notices to such offenders.

How can I report graffiti and defacement?
