To provide a range of quality parks, green spaces, play areas and cemeteries that are well maintained, readily accessible and cater for the needs of the whole of the local population. Service Standards
- The local community will be engaged to assist and where practical, take over some of the decision-making processes to develop local parks and green spaces.
- Parks and green spaces will be developed to promote safety and to encourage community use.
- Play areas will be developed and maintained to encourage use and increase play value.
- Members of the public can expect to be treated with respect and courtesy and in a helpful professional manner by all parks employees.
- Employees will be trained to the level required to provide a high standard of service.

Cut once every three weeks maximum 12 cuts per season. |

Grass Cutting Park and Amenity |
Cut once every two weeks during the spring reduced later in the season to a maximum of 14 cuts per season. |

Cut once per week all through the grass cutting season. |

Grass Cutting/ Maintenance Bowling Greens |
Grass will be cut 3 times per week during the season. Other maintenance will be carried out to current guidelines. |

Sports Markings, Grass. |
Will be carried out once per week during the playing season. |

Sports Pitch Maintenance |
Will be carried out to the relevant guidelines. Including rolling, spiking, and harrowing, top-dressing, seeding and fertilising etc. |

Spring Bedding Maintenance |
Spring Bedding will be weeded and deadheaded once every two weeks. |
|
Summer Bedding Maintenance |
Summer Bedding will be weeded and deadheaded once every week. |
|
Flower Bed Preparation and Planting |
Beds will be forked; fertilised, old material completely removed with the edges clipped and thrown up before planting. Spacing will be between 25-30 plants per metre. |

Weed Control |
Spray three times per year. |

Shrub Pruning |
Once during winter or as necessary to clear carriageways and improve security. |
|
Hedge Cutting |
Hedges will be cut twice per year. Once in June/July after nesting birds have fled and once in autumn before the dormancy period. |
|
Changing Rooms |
Will be cleaned after each event and be maintained to a suitable standard. |
|
Litter Bins and Doggy Bins |
Will be emptied between once a day and once per week depending on location. |
|
Paddling Pools |
Will be kept free of glass and litter. Water will be changed every three days minimum and the chlorine levels checked three times per day. |
|
Play Areas |
Will be checked between once a day and three times a week depending on location. Bins emptied, glass and litter removed, repairs and immobilisation work carried out. |
|
Tree Work |
Trees will be inspected between 1 and 5 years depending on condition and location. |
|
Litter Picking |
Ranges between once per day to once per week depending on location. |
