|||

Introduction

Wyre Forest District Council’s Parks and Green Spaces Section is responsible for the development management and protection of more than 600 acres of public green space in the Wyre Forest district. These include such beautiful areas as the Queen Elizabeth II Gardens in Bewdley, Brinton Park in Kidderminster and the Riverside Meadows in Stourport-on-Severn.

In addition, the Section also manages the Council’s outdoor sports pitch facilities and play areas.

The Parks and Green Spaces section has 27 members of staff that carryout maintenance work on all Wyre Forest District Council-owned grounds. The Parks section maintains its own greenhouses and produces plants. Any surplus produced is sold to the general public.
