IntroductionWyre Forest District Council’s Parks and Green Spaces Section is responsible for the development management and protection
of more than 600 acres of public green space in the Wyre Forest district. These include such beautiful areas as the Queen
Elizabeth II Gardens in Bewdley, Brinton Park in Kidderminster and the Riverside Meadows in Stourport-on-Severn.
In addition, the Section also manages the Council’s outdoor sports pitch facilities and play areas.
The Parks and Green Spaces section has 27 members of staff that carryout maintenance work on all Wyre Forest District Council-owned
grounds. The Parks section maintains its own greenhouses and produces plants. Any surplus produced is sold to the general
public.
Brinton Park is a large park of 12.067 hectares situated near the centre of Kidderminster.
The main entrance to the park is from Sutton Road. Other entrances can be found at Park Lane and Stourport Road/Park Lane.

Brinton Park is also the site for the annual Kidderminster Carnival and other musical events in the Bandstand throughout the
summer.
