Animals

The Council provides a free service for the removal of dead animals from all accessible areas (i.e. people's homes, gardens, the highway etc). We do not remove from inaccessible locations (i.e. rooftops, waterways etc).

Birds

Due to the threat of Avian Influenza (Bird Flu), any reports of dead birds MUST be made directly to Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) on their Public Enquiry line: 08459 335577

Dogs

The District Council provides a stray dog collection service whereby unidentified dogs are collected and transferred to authorised kennels. This service is provided Monday to Friday during the hours 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Members of the Public can report stray dogs to Worcestershire Hub on 01562 732928.

To report a stray dog outside these hours contact 01562 850053.

Dangerous dogs should be reported directly to the Police.

Licences

Apply to the Council for licences for pet shops, dog breeding, animal boarding, keeping of dangerous wild animals, riding establishments and zoo licences.
